Matt Fried Matt Fried is a writer, producer, and sometimes performer since 2006. He created and hosted The Matt Fried Hour, official selection and Critic's Pick of The 2010 North Carolina Comedy Arts Festival TheMattFriedHour.com. At the PIT, Matt studied improv and comedy writing with Kurt Braunohler, Ali Farahnakian, Joe Schiappa, Kevin Allison, Randy Pearlstein, and Sarit Catz, amongst others. He has also studied at The UCB in New York and iO (Improv Olympic) in Chicago. He covers comedian and celebrity interviews for TheApiary.org, and his writing has appeared on The Moth Storytelling Series and Guidespot.com, and with Disney/ABC and The New York Television Festival. He also maintains the storytelling/humor blog, IamMattFried.com. He lives in Brooklyn and is currently writing The Great American Comedy Screenplay, which is actually The Producers with “By Mel Brooks” crossed-out and “By Matt Fried” written above it.
